This should make it easier for us to communicate with each other. Suggestions, of course, are welcome. And if you disagree with any of my executive decisions about membership, or have concerns of your own, please feel free to give me your input.

So far, so good on my end.
The only real thing I am concerned about is the reception I will get from certain members who just loooove me.
Surely you see what they say about me. LMAO.
Ruggie and I banter but we love each other for the most part.
Also, I may be just missing them(this is another totally new forum software for me AGAIN), but where are my mod tools?

If anybody who's been granted membership starts anything, they'll be gone. As I said before, if people don't join because you're here, screw them.
Check the "admin" area up top, although I'm not sure how much power that will give you. I was on a mod at another board at ProBoard and didn't seem to have anything up there. In the "member" area, you should have a "Modify" profile button that lets you give posters time-outs, etc. You can also probably delete members and ban them. And you should also have a "modify" button on posts, so that if there's anything you think is out-of-line from other members, you can edit the posts.
Prior to time-outs, bans, deletions, or modifying posts, would you mind leaving me a message here and letting me know where and what you're going to do. And if it's someone with whom you've had problems, I'll do the dirty work and take the blame.
Check out "admin" and "members" and member profiles and let me know if I'm incorrect about what's there. I'm pretty sure that you should have buttons for modifying, moving and deleting posts at the top and bottom of your screens, but I don't know how to take a "picture" to show them to you.
Does that help, or confuse you more? Sorry.
Rugs, are you taking note?
Later,

Yep. Duly noted. I'm bound to cop my share of grief from some of my detractors. Mel's already cast the first stone at Puff's. Oh well. Can't be helped. Me and Baddie are fine. It'll be nice to have a board free of inane bickering and personal slander! I dips me lid to you Lisa. I just wish you'd done it earlier and saved me time digging through archives on other boards for your posts! Be good now kids, Stu.

All noted but I still don't see the buttons?
And I would never propose to flat ban someone without asking/informing.
It is your board.
The only posts I show a "modify' option on are my own.

One other thing. The 'exalt/smite' thingy?

Bad, check on the bottom left hand of the topic, there should be an icon that says "admin functions." Try hitting that to see if the modify button appears. I'm not really that familiar with it because the board I was a mod on was a small group and there were never any TOS violations. When I started this board, I dropped my mod status, so I can't check now. I'll sign kma up here tomorrow and make myself a mod to check it out. I knew you and Rugs would be reasonable people about the time-out/ban! Rugs, as for my own board, I've thought about doing it, but was too technilogically challenged to follow through. ProBoards is the first I've encountered that was actually dead easy. And, boy am I having fun banning people just 'cause I don't like them and I can! ;D Exalt/Smite adds or subtracts Karma points. I think that when you do it, you can't do it again for a while, but it's fun. And it's a way of getting back at people you don't like without them having any clue. Of course, if Mods can modify profiles, you can both reset members Karma points, too. Well, I went to Southland Greyhound and Gaming Park tonight. I only spent $60.00, but I had a nice, free buffet dinner and actually won about $30.00 bucks when I was down to my last few dollars, so that kept me playing for a while. I also went through my first "sobriety checkpoint" in my life on my way home. The cop looked at my license, asked me if I'd been drinking and sent me on my way without asking for my registration or insurance. Of course, I drive a 20 year old Honda Civic, so I'm sure he knew I hadn't stolen it. Later, kma367

All the goodies are there now. Thankee.
I know this might just be plain wrong of me, but I wonder how Farm and Fwar like being over here with me?
Wonder how long it will take before one of them is mean to me. They rip the nuts outta me at Puffythingy Hell daily.
Sounds like you had fun, KMA. I had a nice night some friends stopped by with their son and Ana was entertained and that was a relief!
And I also played the most addictive PS2 game EVER instead of homework. Gituar Hero. Oh Lord! And I don't even like video games. LOL.
Coffee and Juvenile Procedure for me now. YIPEE!

They've been on good behavior so far, but if they step out of line, they're gone. And their little posts, too! Glad you and Ana had some fun last night. Goofy as it is, the most fun I had was the checkpoint! Later, kma367

Just reporting in team leader. I've secured the perimeter and things are running smoothly thus far! ;D
I haven't been to the track for years, kma. It used to be fun (as long as you have good self-control and don't spend more than you can afford to lose, that is).
Bad, I don't envisage Farm or Fwar getting too unruly (touch wood). I think they're smart enough to realise kma won't hesitate in booting them.
Have fun y'all.

WTF! I can move threads, bump´em, make sticky announcements and a few other things. But I can´t BAN people?! I WANT TO BAN PEOPLE! I AM kidding, ya know... I doubt that I will make much, if any, use of my admin privileges. Just want to openly say thanks to kma for showing me this trust. We weren´t always friends, but with time you learn whom you can trust and actually get to like. I see kma as 100% trustworthy and likable. Just took a little time. Usually those are the best friendships.

I don't want to share the fun of banning with ANYBODY. I've put up with the crap at the Propaganda Board for 6 years. It's MY turn. I never personally disliked you, Abs. I just didn't know you and am very reserved with people I don't know. And I know that my posts occasionally give the impression that I personally dislike someone, but that's an inference drawn by the reader, not an implication that I intentionally make. I follow the "hate the sin, not the sinner" school, so while I'm tearing holes in someone's argument, I'm not trying to tear them down personally. Of course, I can give back as good as I get, so when someone personally insults me, I can give it back and be very cold while doing so. There are actually very few people I dislike in this case. Chase, Larner, Jules, Eddy, Memphis, Rage, Moc, Girlene - okay, so there are maybe more than a few. However, I have a very negative history with these people going back to 2001. Of course, some, like Chase, want to act like nothing ever happened and be "friends." However, until they acknowledge and admit their errors, I'm not interested. And even if I did forgive them doesn't mean I'm going to forget. kma367

I am actively trying to defeat death penalty. You know that, kma You are for it. Clearly we disagree on things.
I will feel horrible when/if Damien is going to be put to death. No matter if I think he is guilty or not.
I am a fence sitter, I am vehemently against DP. Why did you make me a mod here, kma?

Because you're open and honest about your feelings about the DP and you express them without being rude, vulgar or insulting. I don't agree with them, but that's life. And who knows, some day you might realize that what you once believed about the death penalty is inaccurate and you might see the DP for what it is, an appropriate punishment for heinous murders by cold-blooded killers.
I also trust that you won't let your personal beliefs interfere with your duties.

Never ever. That will not change.
I thought I could influence you the other way. Make you realize that capital punishment is cruel and unusual, as you choose to put it.
