I am looking for the report that indicates when, how and exactly where the bikes were discovered. I recall seeing something back 7 years ago, but have not been able to locate it. Any clues - Police Report? Trail Transcript? Randy

I was looking for that myself last night, Randy. Larner's wrong when she says that the bikes were found near the north bank. As I recall, they were found nearly in the center of the pipe bridge, one on one side and the other on the other side.
Did you check the crime scene notes? I checked Shane Griffin's testimony in the Echols/Baldwin trial, but he wasn't too specific. There was also a picture of the bike recovery somewhere, although I can't remember where (other than PL1) and it looked like the bikes were smack in the center of the bridge.
I'll keep looking and try to find something for you over the weekend. If you don't see a post by Saturday, shout at me, okay?

Thanks KMA.
As I recall, the bikes were found just north of center. Obviously, I want specific detail as she and I continue to argue the width of the Bayou and the exact spot they were found.
I've been to the pipe bridge, but can't seem to convey (or they just don't want to accept) to those that have not, how logicial it is that the bikes were found here since it is the most likely access point for the boys to get from the neighborhood side to the woods.

Randy, It's not overly detailed but this is from Shane Griffin's testimony. Fogleman: Now if you could, here take this pointer and point for the jury, where those bicycles were recovered.
Griffin: Ok, right here is the Ten Mile Bayou, and this is a little pipe that runs right across it right there, and then we recovered them on each side of that little pipe. More here
