Thought I'd make it interesting for the lurkers, in case they can see the title of threads. On the post below, "xxxHollyxxx" claims that she's found "37" cases in which Burnett has been ordered by the ASSC to proceed on Rule 37 actions. I've done a search on the ASSC website, but all I've found are opinions regarding the outcome of Rule 37 appeals and several writs that were declared "moot," which means Burnett wasn't ordered to do squat by the ASSC. I suspect that "xxxHollyxxx" is talking out of her butt here, but refuse to post on the Propaganda Board, since no matter how I say it, I will be accused of being rude. p210.ezboard.com/fwestmemphisthreediscussionfrm1.showMessageRange?topicID=3069.topic&start=21&stop=31Would you mind challenging her to at least provide a list of case names to support her claims? If not, don't sweat it. I think she's a member here and I'll try to get her to respond here. Thanks, kma367 *edited to add link

You might also want to let "xxxHollyxxx" know that the "State Attorney" slot in Arkansas was filled when Dustin McDaniel was elected as Attorney General. Obviously, she thinks that when Mike Beebe was elected governor, no one took his place.

Oops. I keep forgetting that I have to sign into the Staff Room to see that there is stuff...um....in the Staff Room! I shall inbox her KMA, since Jules has decided to take away my posting privileges at the borg (yet again) for at the very least , the whole "Morning News" situation. I'm of the opinion that there was more to it than just that......

I got an answer about the cases from Callahan. She's an idiot.
Essentially what appears to have happened is that when the Rule 37 petitions were filed by the prisoners (without attorneys), they didn't serve copies on Judge Burnett. The Clerk doesn't forward copies to him, probably because they're supposed to be served by the petitioner. Once he received the writs of mandamus, he acted on the petitions and they were all moot by the time the ASSC acted on them. There even a few cases in which Burnett had recused himself from the cases and they were reassigned.
